Leave it in the vault for a week and see if your computer is running o.k and that the file quarantined was not a valid program file showing up as a false positive. If all is running well, just delete file.It is also a good idea to run AVG in safe mode and do a full scan,to see if any more viruses show up.

This is a secure store for virus files. It can do no harm from there. If you get persistent threats over the next few scans, download their free anti-spyware tool and scan with that. Otherwise an occasional threat found is OK. Set it to automatically scan at intervals.

A virus is a line or two of code. If the file is in the vault, the code is changed, thus rendering the file harmless. If it is released from the vault the code is changed back and hell will break loose

Empty the vault.

Make sure your pc hasn't been affected by the move to the vault first.

It depends where it found the virus. If it was in the recycle bin then you should turn of system restore and run it again.

Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore > System Restore Settings and then "tick" the box to turn off all monitoring.

If it was anywhere else on the machine you should be fine.
