Using alfalinux on a very old machine, i have the CDrom mounted and can see there are autorun files inside it. How do i actually launch the cd so i can install a more modern version of linux (the system i have doesnt support CD Booting so i had to do a floppy install of alfalinux.

Well after searching for some time i found 2 utilities that worked for me, the Damn small Linux boot image (placed on a floppy drive) and the DSL Biz card (placed on a cd) With these two i was able to get a computer from 1995 up and running with ZERO errors, Linux never ceases to amaze me.

the command you were looking for is a single period. Thats the linux "run" command such as

. ./autorun.bat
