i want to know about the performance of ACER. if anybody is having any model of ACER inform me.SHOULD i go for ACER or should i buy COMPAQ model(dualcore,512,120hdd).
I am VERY CONFUSED.

a guy bought something off me on the 13th oct for £24.00...he sent payment and it showed in my paypal account as 'pending' as it was a 'echeque'. paypal adv it would clear in 10 days time. i had never rc'd one before so i was suprised but didnt think much of it. paypal adv not to send the goods out til e cheque had cleared. then buyer emailed today asking where good where. i explained and he got very aggressive saying he had not payed via cheque but straight from paypal. i copied him the info i had rec'd from paypal and told him to tk it up with them. could paypal have made a mistake? never heard of them making one before but imagine it cud happen. im worried now as i needed that money and also buyer wants it for wend which wont happen so he may say he wants refund...if a mistake will paypal settle it? i dont want neg feedbck when not my fault..just doing what paypal has adv me!

I had this program on my computer, and I can't remember the name of it. It cleaned your computer of old files and other things. The only thing I remember about that it was free, and it sounded like a toilet flushing when it cleaned your computer. Sorry I don't remember any more.

At the moment, I have one 320GB hard drive and I plan to buy another 320GB and them set up in RAID 0 (performance). My question is, when in install the hard drive, how will be able to set them up in RAID. My motherboard supports RAID: the Intel G33 Chipset.

Furthermore, if I am able to able to set up the drives in RAID 0, what will become of the data that is on the drive right now?

Just run Norton and it has found a dialer. It says it can't remove it and it has to be done manually. Anyone put me in the right direction? Have run anti dailer software but this hasn't picked it up.

I just got a new computer with the disillusion that having the new Windows Vista OS on it would be an advantage. So far it's been nothing but a pain in the ****:

All of the specialist programs I've needed for uni won't run on it so I have to use my friend's XP laptop every time I wanna do some work.

It's full of baffling security features which deny me permission to organise the folders on my own computer!

It's extremely unstable and badly organised.

None of the codecs I need to play media files came installed...

I could easily go on but have run out of space

I know this isn't just a problem with my version because I've heard the same complaints from other people.

Why have Microsoft come up with such a steaming heap of crap for a product, they're supposed to be the world's premiere PC company, I'd get my work done quicker etching it into a cowpat with a stick. I hate them.

Next time I'm getting a mac

I had to reinstall XP on my computer because it basically got fried somehow. I have an xp disc to reinstall, but there's no disc case to give me the product key.
Is there a way to put that disc onto another (working) computer and find it's 25 digit product key?
