Its a personal preference.
HP has re-invented itself and is the leader followed by Dell who brought back Michael Dell to fix the problems of losing market share.
Acer has passed Toshiba in sales
What does this really mean??
Nothing, find the things you are looking for in a computer and buy it. The biggest difference is the support.. HP has passed Dell as Dell shifted the support to India

I've owned the majority of the brand names out there (i.e. HP, Compaq, Dell, hand-built ones). Each had its good and bad points. It all depends on what you want your computer to do for you.

Theres no such, each has their good and bad points, we supply all brands to all types of business, but most time we use dell because theres the extended warranty which covers parts and replacement, not that they are perfect, but frome xperience, when things do go wrong, at least the parts and labour are free.
In our office, we built our own, as then we know what goes inside each box and not tie to some manufactures stupid design.
