how can i permanenetly delete files that have been downloaded on my laptop. coz some friend told me that eventho i have deleted them on the internet options they will still be saved on my disk. i just want to know how can i delete them... thanks

I went into add remove programs and uninstalled iexplorer.exe but it's still in ProgramFiles/internet explorer. So I deleted it but it keeps coming back. Where does it come from? It's extracting a copy of itself from somewhere and putting itself there. I want it gone. If I remove all entries from the registry will that work? There is a process or service running that acts like a virus in that it replaces the file as soon as I delete it. I don't want to pay for any tools that will remove it. I'm a Linux user myself but a few of my customers are too stubrn to change.

Ok, to begin when the phone rings the internet cuts off on the wireless router. It hasnt done it before until now.We have the regular DSL router in here and it doesnt cut off the internet on this pc when the phone rings. We have a wireless router, (I KNow thats not the problem) and on my wireless pc and laptop the internet cuts on even when A phone is turned on. Please help, The company cant help me. Sad isnt it!

My field is labeled FromDate and the first possible date is 2/1/2004. In design view the FromDate field has in the validation slot >=#2/1/2004# so nothing gets entered less than 2/1/2004 in datasheet view. The problem I have is the next field. It is labeled ThruDate. This ThruDate cannot be less, prior to, the FromDate. I would like to validate the ThruDate field. It takes >=#2/1/2004# but I also need it to prevent any dates prior to a date which is, for ie, 3/1/2006? Please advise. thanks.

I set my password protect screensaver for 2 minutes. Now I don't want to have the screensaver on anymore, and I tried to redo it like 10 times, but it still cuts off after 2 minutes. Every time I go back to the control panel, it still says it's set for two minutes...I'm obviously doing something wrong...Oh yeah and I am hitting "apply" first. My operating system is XP

I'm connected to my school's internet, because I'm away from home and in college. I'm not sure if it's cable or DSL. It is slow. I try to check my speed, and the upload test just won't work. I've talked to a few people and most just tell me that it's my computer, since no one else is having the same problem. I don't understand how it could be my computer, because it runs at lightning speed when I'm connected to my wireless at home. I don't know much about my internet, but I know the speed is 100.0 Mbps. I scan for spyware every other day, and I also scan for viruses once a week. I do only have 704mb of memory. But is that really making my internet so slow? It won't even load www.msn.com.

I inserted a usb disk drive on my laptop. I tried to copy an AutoCAD file drawn by some Japanese client of ours (in Japanese font). Then I reboot, and suddenly, it kind of reformatted itself and deleted my old user account. All files are still intact but most of the programs doesn't work anymore. I tried to use system restore but all restore points were gone.
