how do i initiate wireless connnection if i have to have the computer hooked up the the ethernet connection

This is typical, all it meant was that a wireless computer can run into the chicken-and-the-egg problem in doing a setup, while Ethernet lines will not run afoul, this Ethernet connection is just temporary, remove it when you are settled in with your wireless setup.

If you are so advanced there won't be a chicken-egg issue in a purely wireless setup but most ppl are obviously not a rocket scientists so you are advised to use an Ethernet line.

well im not sure but my aunt told me that u can just hook up the wireless box to the phone jack, it doesnt have to be close to the computer. then look for the signal with your laptop or computer. it should work.
if not, call your internet people and ask them
