ok, on my last post i thought my monitor/video wasnt working, but it was working fine, i took out one stick of ram and it worked fine(the comp ofcourse) but when i put 2 sticks it would boot, but turns on and off every 3 secs...and now its stuck like that even though i put 1 stick in..my mobo is p35-ds3r..someone plz help :D..ty btw i dont have a speaker case or speaker motherboard to show me the issue..

I recently deleted a music file from where it was in My Documents when I went to the re-cycle bin, it wasnt there. Any ideas where it might be guys.

I have a pentium 4 computer. It works well but will shut down unexpectedly. It will run fine and then can shut down 4 times after that. I have to turn off the power and then turn it on and start up the computer. I am at a loss why this keeps happening. Any help would be appreciated.

I have mcafee internet security 2007. Every so often it tells me Im Not Fully Protected. I open up the mcafee window and it says Privacy Service needs to verify its subcription. I click verify (down with piracy!) and it tells me it was successful. It still displays the message though, and still pops up. I have restarted the computer numerous times but to no provail... I tried removing it using the tools from mcafee, and reinstalling, but it didnt help.what should I do?

How do you determine a device name when using unix?
I'm trying to extract some files with the command

cpio -idmv
But I don't know the device name. The drive (exabyte exb-8500) is an optical drive (like a cd rom) connected to
scsi scusi card.I'm trying to extract from a 8mm tapes.

When I use the command (Which works with my dds-4 tapes
using a diffrent machine-hp,dat40) cpio -idmv please help..how do I get the device name? how Do I even set permissions to that device if I can't see it?

Anyone know why they often have a long list of keywords after a file?

Like a file might say "Britney Spears Oops I did it again illegal school girl porn pop teenage file greatest hits"

Is it just to get as many hits as possible? Have you noticed files are mislabeled often?

There's no sound coming from my computer, I seem to had tried almost everything, and even my "Sounds And Devices Properties" is a shaded area, like it's off, and how do I turn this on? In run I typed in "dxdiag" and on DirectX Diagnostic Tool, I tested the sound and I hear it from "SoundMaxDigitalAudio" music plays, so there's no speak problem. I don't know that much about computer's. How do I find out if it's the device driver, or mixer device, even on media player it reads" Window media player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly" This computer is a "Dell Dimension 1100" If it's in another program, how to I find out which on and correct this program to its orginal program, Etc.

This just came up again, its my sister's computer, but what suggests do you recommend?

I have been a victim of Fraud.I got this mail on ebay.It had a link to a website.I logged on and it brought me to a site with electronic items at rock bottom prices.I dont know what I was thinking but I ordered something.I paid with western union.Stupid thing to do.I was assures that I was getting quality goods and the communication between me and the seller was good until I paid him.He wont email me back.I have sent numerous mails and even set up another mail address and he replied but soon as I said who I am he wont reply.He is based in China.Can someone advise me on what to?I want my money back but he wont reply.Can I contact anyone to investigate him or help get my money back.Please someone help.

I have dsl/modem connection to the internet. I have tried connecting my linksys router to the modem and pick up an internet signal wirelessly but I can't get a connection. I am hooking it up correctly, I have the phone line into the modem and then an ethernet cable going to the router but still doesn't work. I can get on the internet bypassing the router and connecting the ethernet cable from my modem directly to my laptop but I want to be able to use my laptop wirelessly because it is a wireless laptop. I was thinking of trying to reinstall the linksys program but now it will not pick up an internet connection!!!! Please help I am so frustrated!!

I am trying to add a partition to my hdd. I have lots of free space on the disk but no unallocated space. When I right-click in the free space area in the computer management window, add a partition is not an option. Is this because there is no unallocated space?
