Hi,

Assuming you are using a Mac, you can change the icon of any file or folder easily.

First, use Edit > Copy to copy any small picture to the clipboard.

Next, click once on the icon you wish to change (don't double-click). Then use File > Get Info.

In the Get Info box click on the file's icon in the upper left corner.

Now use Edit > Paste to replace the icon's picture with the picture from the clipboard.

2 options come to mind,
1) show file extension in folder settings, and change the extension from ppt or pptx to txt or jpg, this way only you can open it, anyone else trying to will get a corrupt photo or a text file full of code.

2) download winrar, add the file to an archive, and add a password.

it might not be exactly what you are looking for, but im guessing you get the results you are aiming for. privacy.
