My computer has been acting strange since the windows update today, I have Vista Home Premium 32x. It said I needed to update the PCI Hardware Driver. Well I found the driver, but the computer froze before it could install. I managed to get the computer back up, but now it doesn't ask for the PCI Driver (I think because the Communication Manager Error)

Hello again,

I've asked a few questions regarding how to build a form in Java using AWT. I'm having a lot of problems getting the components to align themselve in a visually appealing way -- for some reason things seem to default to terrible placement.

Anywyas, the form I want is like this:

UserID: [TextBoxHere]
Name: [TextBoxHere]
Status: [DropDownMenuHere]
Language: [CheckBoxHere][CheckBoxHere]...[CheckBoxHere]...
Foreign: [RadioButtonHere] [RadioButtonHere]
[Text box here ]


Now this would be very simple to do in HTML (and I'm sure there must be some trick to doing it in Java, but I can't seem to figure it out) I'm using the GridBagLayout and adjusting the gridx and gridy values as I add the above componets to the applet.

It looks terrible -- labels on the far left of the window, text fields several inches to the right...Radio buttons and checkboxes are spaced irratically -- Help!! :]

I have a nice FAQ site that is hosted on my local PC. I want now to convert this into a word doc or pdf file for publication. Is there any tool which will accept the document root and prepare single pdf/doc out of it?

Stupid low life people who have nothing else to do with their free time! My site has been hacked into 3 times already. WHen I went to sign in it said "your site has been phised" and they gave me enough time to change my password before the hackers can do any real damage. I love my page and I've had it for years. Anyone else having problems with hackers or spammers and whats your story?

I'm about to purchase a Microsoft Windows XP Home disc. The one I'm looking at has "upgrade" written in the ad. I am intending on using this on new installs on formatted hard drives. So another words, there will be nothing on the hard drive. I've ben told that the "upgrade" version can be used in both situations. Meaning on hard drives with existing operating systems and on empty hard drives. So I guess I'm wondering what is the truth to all this. And will I be making a mistake purchasing this software for how I want to use it?

I just recived a Logitech webcam I bought in Ebay last week. It's a Logicool Qcam for Notebooks (QV - 400N),
which acording to the seller (I even asked her by mail and she confirmed it) is fully compatible with Microsoft Vista. The problem here is that when I install the webcam in my Laptop (OS Microsoft vista) and I try to run the software,
a dialog box appears, telling me that this software has known compatibility issues or something like that.
I've tried to repeat the instalation process several times, but the result is always the same. I've even unsuccessfully tried to find a driver in the web, but since this an imported product (from Japan) and it doesn't have a lot of distrbution I haven't found one yet. I don't know why the seller told me it was compatible with Windows Vista if it wasnt. So, what should I do? Should I inmidiately return this product to the seller and ask for a refund? Does anyone know if there is any way I could make this webcam work? . Thanks in advance.

I use the following command to combine multiple files into one.
copy "c:\x\y\z\Combine Work\*.avi.*" /b "c:\x\y\z\Combine Work\combined.avi" /b

I have used the full address of the file (names have been shortened). I use the command in a bat file called combine.bat.

Is there a way to modify the address so it will automatically use the files within the folder that the bat file is in? I don't want to use a change directory command since I want it to work in any folder automatically. Now it only works in the "Combine Work" folder. I would like it to work in any folder without modification.

I have windows vista and i have a hard drive threw usb....when i plug it in, it says that found new hard ware.....but when i go to my computer, it is not showing up.....so i right click my computer and click manage.....then i click disk management....it shows on there......it is an unknown device...183gb(or whatever it is) and says its unalcolated...it also says it is not intialized.........so i right click the box and everything is blocked out except properties and help....so what can i do to have vista recognize it and have it work...

after I install the driver for my quickcam.. my computer speed suddenly become very slow.. and theres always an error when I try to run every program or application..
but if I uninstall the driver again.. then my computer will become normal again..

my computer is upstairs and my 360 is in my basement, where i have a phone jack, so could i run something from my phone jack to my 360, maybe involving a router or modem ( i don't know). the wireless adapter doesn't work for me, and i can't run the ethernet cord from the back of the modem upstairs to the 360 downstairs which is 100 feet or more, so any suggestions?

Because of your ISP or faulty wiring in your house? My low speed verizon DSL goes on and off every few minutes, and its annoying.
I figured it was just because i have the cheapest plan available, but someone here suggested that its the wiring in my house - my house is very old so this could be it. But how can i tell if its my house or verizon? I dont want to hire an electrician just so he can tell me that verizon sucks.

I sold an authentic LV purse on ebay. I clearly stated it was USED in the listing. The chick wants a full refund because she claims it shows used signs...which is not wierd since I listed it as USED. She filed a dispute with ebay before I even got back to her and now I have a negative amount in my paypal! if she wins this dispute, how the hell will she get her money when my paypal account had a balance of 0?

for some reason i only have 3gb left in memory. I can't seem to run simple software without waiting. I have noticed that my internet is way slow... but only for certain pages... otherwise it's normally really fast. I am running safari on a mac os x 10.4.10

I've tried the systems Seashore, Poster Paint and Tux Paint does not work for me.
Seashore doesn't have solid colors, only textures. Does anyone know any sites where I can download free Paint system for Mac OSX. I would like it to be able to open a file, so I can edit a picture I drew.
