for some reason i only have 3gb left in memory. I can't seem to run simple software without waiting. I have noticed that my internet is way slow... but only for certain pages... otherwise it's normally really fast. I am running safari on a mac os x 10.4.10
the funny thing is, i can't even load the apple discussion board to help... so i'm here

Also, while in Safari...
From the top trop down menu > History > Clear History
and
Safari > Empty Cache.

The first thing you should do is remove any unnecessary data and/or programs you have on your system to free up space.
The second thing.... Open Macintosh HD, go to Applications, go to Utilities, open Disk Utilities, select Macintosh HD, and click "Repair Permissions"
The third thing... Click "Go" at the top menu bar, click "Go to Folder..." Type in the following text...
~/Library/Caches
Select everything in this folder and drag it to the Trash.
Restart your computer.
Empty Trash
..
Start there, and see if it helps.

Simple solution: Sell the Mac on Ebay.
Take winnings and buy cheap PC.
Enjoy life and don't have problems again.
