If i scan files with an anti virus and an anti spyware program, is there really any chance my macbook gets screwed up while downloading from limewire?

which I recently acquired from a friend. I do not have a manual for this computer. I've figured out a few things -- it's so much different that what I'm used to. I've checked on-line for a manual or something to help me learn how to do certain things. Any ideas where else I can look? I can't seem to find anything on-line yet. I do believe I'm going to like this computer!! Thank you.

ok i was a noob and bought norton nearly 1 year ago now, and well its **** and doesnt detect crap.
I have heard about better ones such as nod32 and kaspersky, but would it be possible to run norton and nod together, or would i just need to have one on its own as i have heard this.

Also would it be ok if i installed all 3 then disabled to of them so i was protected using 1, and use the others for scans of my comp?

I can't remember how to do this, where you can set your computer back to a certain date. It comes up with a calendar and you can click on a date and you computer will go back to the settings for that date. My internet is working but Yahoo won't come up - I have to use a search engine and then I can get to my mail or other Yahoo services but not my home page. So I want to see if setting my computer back a few days will help.

I have a home network setup. The problem is that I cant seem to share the printer I have. The printer is connected to computer A and I cant seem to print from computer B. I have a Netgear Firewall/Print Server that connects both computers. The server has a parallel printer port that I can connect to my printer, but my printer has a USB B male port. The printer is a HP All in One 1300 series. I tried to add a new printing port using the software that came with the server but it doesnt list my printer that I use. I have bought all the adapters that connect a parallel port to a USB port, but my computer cant detect the printer when I connect the printer to the serve instead of computer A. Can anyone know what the problem is?

I am able to pick up a wifi connection from my house. I heard that you can see who else is using the signal, what they are doing and the name of the signal you are picking it up from. What can you do to see who else is using the same signal? (is this a feature only on vista?)

I am using Excel 2007. In past editions, when I went to open or save a document, the most recent location would appear. Now, I have to go through the same routine of clicking through various folders and pathways just to get where I want. This is frustrating when I am saving 10 documents to the same location but with different names. Is this an Excel setting or a network setting and can it be changed?

I recently has to control and supervise a Cyber cafe. From the previous records, th system works very fast since it is about 8computers interconnected using a network cable. It is connected to the internet using a LAN and Ethernet.
I have scanned them for viruses, and deleted old or unwanted files. I even changed the Ethernet Adapter and replaced with a new one.
They are all slow except one (The Server).
Now, Some will not display all the colours. and when a client wants to open his e-mail with a file attached, nothing displays except the texts and scanty colours and lines.
What should I do to arrest this ugly situation.
I can't format the hard disc for fear that the system files and configurations will be deleted.
I have tried System restore, but the problem persist.
The first useful advice gets ten points!!

I'll try to make this short but descriptive...I installed a game...game updated and had to un-install old version...un-installed successfully sorta...it left a save folder with a folder in it...I try to delete and this is what i get...."Cannot delete : Cannot find the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path and file name."...I cannot rename it, move it or anything like that....I even tried several programs and tried safe mode too...I would like to install the new version of the game but it won't let me because of the old folder. Any ideas as to how to delete it....I'm desperate, but do not want to format... :P
