I'm trying to put the embed code under my banner on Myspace so people can copy the code and paste it on their profile. But it just shows up as the same banner in the text box. How can I disable the code for this so just the embeddable text shows?

myspace severely limits the types of tags et. al. that you can use in your "code" however placing

tags around the "code" will keep the browser from rendering it. that is if myspace allows the tags in the first place.

Try either of these (I'm not testing so if one don't work try the other, cuz I'm no great expert on embeds, just xhtml...)

For the xhtml part use
amper lt semicolon ...stuff inside the less-than amper gt semicolon

Where "amper" is an ampersand symbol and "semicolon" is that piece of punctuation on yer keyboard and lt is the actual two letters "lt" and gt is the actual two letters "gt" and I had to type it all that way here because of the way Yahoo! Answers eats things up.

Alternatively, try "baiting and switching" by separating things with html comments: you can see'em but the browser can't: like this: bed ...>whateverbed>
