lol sorry for not being clear
what i mean is that i can access websites using netscape but not internet explorer
i would settle for netscape but the only problem is that i can't login to msn messenger and the troubleshoot thing says that i cannot sign in because internet explorer is not connected to the internet

I don't know what you mean by netscape works normally... can your access the internet from it or not? But if you can't access the internet from anything your internal network adapter card may be burnt out. If this is the case you will most likely have to replace your whole motherboard as most laptops have all components integrated into the motherboard. This sort of thing happened to my wireless network card on my laptop.

Err, you just said nothing would open, then netscape works normally? A bit more detail would be useful. Check the connection settings in IE.

Do you think you may need to redownload Internet Explorer? Or, if you have recently updated to IE 7, then good luck. It only works when it wants to.

usually there's some button to turn the internet on or off. Maybe you just need to pay the bill

nicely concidering you utilize your friends connection its probable very poor. in case you have the money i could purchase a instantaneous information superhighway field. a low-priced one is approximately $eighty 5 in case you are able to cope with that.

not enough information given. this could be anything. it could be due to failure of paying the bill. or it could be that someone messed with the IP/TCP settings, or proxy and port configuration. it could be that someone changed the setting to "work offline" (when you to "file" on the menu). so be more detailed.
