Apple vs Microsoft?
Apple took the GUI idea from (well was invited to take) by Xerox I think.. I think it was Xerox...
Then Microsoft stole that **** lol.
Macs vs WinPCs?
Macs, because they know what they are doing in terms of quality, service, and a good OS. Their software suites are very good, world famous even. Better yet, they are exclusive to Apple (Final Cut Studio, iLife, Logic etc)... Unlike most WinPC brands, Apple actually has a customer service in the US.

It's Apple (Mac) operating system vs Microsoft Windows operating system.
The hardware is a non-issue.

PC is a lot better than Apple. If you want to buy a laptop, you should get a Toshiba Satellite M65-S9092. I have one, and I love it. I would highly recommend it.
