Why does LimeWire host so many downloads? I downloaded it, and searched for the trial of corel paint shop pro X, and I got Microsoft Office 2007 FULL edition? And also a bunch of other things, that are REALLY illegal. Why does limewire have so many of these? And my friend told me downloading almost anything from there will give me at LEAST one trojan. Is this true?

Im hoping to buy a new laptop in the next month but im confused on which processor is best for my needs.
i want to use my laptop for gaming, music and chatting. but also for college work. i also want one with windows Vista Home Premium.
So.. could someone please help me by telling me which processor would be best for me?
* i've heard that Celeron and Sempron are rubbish processors.

My daughter told me to open an e-mail and click on unsubscribe but all I did was open a pandora's box because now I'm inundated with unwanted and unwarranted sexual e-mails explicitly detailing what I can have done to me by all sorts of indecent propsals. I fed up with the invation of my e-mail account and at wits end trying to get rid of them, including legally if I have to. Pls someone out there help me. Thanks.

I purchased an image to put on a poster. My poster is 22x28 inches. I used the help resize image to resize the picture to 20 inches wide (keep proportions) so it would give me a margin. When I drag it over it's way bigger than my poster. It seems the smaller I get -- the bigger it gets. I HAVE READ THE BOOK AND taken a tutorial AND read Photoshop for dummies but I must be dumber than the dummies lol.

this happens everytime...no matter the size of the file. on nero, it wants to use all of the dvd space, so if i want to burn more movies on one dvd i can't. any help? thanks.

Happpened once before, but my mom fixed it, and she's not in town anymore...I have Windows 2000, pentium II w/ 255 (?) Mhz, very old, slow computer, but just wanted to boot it up to grab some old things I left on it, any possible way to boot it up, it boots up to the screen w/ all the info on it that has the press (del) to enter setup, and you can that's where my mom did s/t in the Setup screen, I remember her putting things in a different order, but I don't remember and she can't either, unless she has the computer infront of her...hope yall can help!

Hey, I'm pretty dumb when it comes to computers...so, bare with me...but I saved a picture (from the grafitti wall on my facebook page) to my computer, and it seems to be in png format, and I was trying to post it to my myspace page, which there the pictures have to be in gif or jpg format it says. Is there a way to convert or change the picture format, and can I just not post it on myspace?

I just did some repairs on my system; installed a new external LAN card, new motherboard and repaired the system files. Also, updated my Windows OS, Java console and Norton antivirus.

Somehow that deleted my IE 7.0 browser and I am unable to reinstall it. The main problem right now: I am unable to use the browser normally. Whenever some URL is entered, it automatically opens a new window (instead of opening in the same browser) and thereby, hangs the browser. The same problem is repeated when I have to open a pop-up window.

What seems to be the problem? Any good guesses :)

my auntie has a laptop and we wanted to reformat it but i press the boot and after that the screen appear an _ << underscore that blinks and we've wait what happend after a minute the screens turn to black but the laptop is on, .., then if we restart it or turn it off,, it appears back to the underscore blink, i dont know what to do.. can anyone help me?

I have a Dell PC with Windows XP.
I sometimes use Internet Explorer and sometimes use Mozilla Firefox browsers.
Anyway, my problem is that once my PC is turned on and ready to go, I get a warning that varous things have encountered problems and need to close. These warnings are all for different things and they pop up every few seconds and NEVER stop. If I click 'send report' or 'do not send report', they still keep popping up.
The warnings mostly mention Mcafee things like the redirector, the site advisor, etc, but also internet explorer browser. I've tried to uninstall Mcafee security going through start, control panel,add/remove programs, but the PC says "not able to remove all of Mcafee".
I've also done a Webroot Spy check and Quarantined 10 items, but it didn't help either.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello there,

My computer has been running brilliantly for a while now. Last week however, I turned it on and it came up with a problem saying to "ensure that the power to the graphics card is connected".

I did just this and it was connected and continued to not work. Then... I took the fan off the processor (suspecting this as the problem) and then made sure everything was ok with it. After doing this, the computer then booted as per normal. I found this weird but ignored it...

Then yesterday, I tried to turn it on but it wouldnt boot. Everything turned on inside (fans, HDs etc) but nothing on the screen.

I suspected the CPU again and bought a new one... to no avail.
Then I changed the video card with another and still nothing...

Is this the case of a cracked or dud motherboard??
The green light is still on the motherboard however, when I try to turn it on.

I have tried taking out the RAM and HDs one by one but still nothing...

Any help is appreciated.
