I am having a disagreement on weather Firefox is better or internet explorer is better.

IE7 is a lilttle more polished and there are unfortunately still a smalll number of websites that only work properly with IE, but IE definitely has more security holes than Firefox.
For most of my browsing I prefer Firefox- I use IE when I run across a website that doesn't display properly.

I've recently switched to using Firefox just because Internet Explorer was giving me problems. After switching, I decided I like using Firefox more than IE. I like the tab feature instead of opening up new windows - of course, the option to open a new window is there too.
If you mean better to be running on your system, then I have heard Firefox is 'better' for security reasons.

Internet Explorer can be made far more secure than FireFox... But IE doesn't adhere to standards...
FireFox has an easy to manage/develop plugin system... IE Doesn't... The plugins are themselves a security risk...
Really... unless it is a corporate environment... it's whatever you like. If it is a corporate environment, IE is the only browser available, especially if you need to maintain an assurance rating, or have more granular control over user activities... or if you require IWA, etc...

People who make viruses & spyware know that most people use internet explorer becuse it's built into their systems. They program these warez to automatically install through internet explorer. Use Firefox for a safer web experience.

Firefox is the best way to go,it is much faster. Firefox doesn't make you get as much as viruses unlike IE,so many viruses with IE. IE 7 stold Firefox's Ideas!!

I personaly use Internet Explorer because its not as big and bulky and i use it for web designing and HTML.
I perfer IE over Firefox.
I have used FireFox and i could'nt get around with it as well as i could with IE.
I would say its up to you.

Firefox is much better and more secure. If you use internet explorer, you will be hacked. there is no comparison

IE has too many problems and bad firewall/blocking capabilities ~ go with firefox; much easier to use and less problems
