I have a Dell PC with Windows XP.
I sometimes use Internet Explorer and sometimes use Mozilla Firefox browsers.
Anyway, my problem is that once my PC is turned on and ready to go, I get a warning that varous things have encountered problems and need to close. These warnings are all for different things and they pop up every few seconds and NEVER stop. If I click 'send report' or 'do not send report', they still keep popping up.
The warnings mostly mention Mcafee things like the redirector, the site advisor, etc, but also internet explorer browser. I've tried to uninstall Mcafee security going through start, control panel,add/remove programs, but the PC says "not able to remove all of Mcafee".
I've also done a Webroot Spy check and Quarantined 10 items, but it didn't help either.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I'm using another computer to send this question to you. Thank you,
Yammy

it's important to know WHICH programs are closing. It could be a virus which has corrupted part of your OS.

Rescan with an other virus scanner such as AVG. Remember to always UPDATE your virus scanner before you run a scan.

Macafee may be corrupted, so it's best to get rid of it. Run MSConfig to see if any references are left in the startup tab. If so, uncheck to disable them.

In addition, download, install, update and use the following THREE programs.

Adaware SE Personal
Spybot search and Destroy
Microsoft Defender.
(These three have been found to be the best when used in concert to get rid of spyware.)

Once you are sure that there are no viruses, spyware etc, reboot and see if the problem persists. If it does, consider a repair of the OS. This can be done by booting to the CD and running the repair (not the repair Console)

It sounds like you have a virus. I would say get AVG and do a full system scan. Then get stinger ad do a full system scan and lastly get Adaware and do a full system scan. Remove all infections found. All the above mentioned are free, just search the net for them. I don't think you have been hacked. You can also reboot your pc, pressing F8 as it boots up, and choose the Last Known Good Configuration. Hope this helps!

You have been hacked by using Internet Explorer. Only use firefox. Scan with AVG Antivirus Free Edition, Lavasoft Adaware, and Spybot S&D.
get them here:

Delete Mcafee from C:\program files

My suggestion is to uninstall Internet Explorer tool bar. therein lies your problem.
There are companies selling software, they are trying to sell you software you don't need, if you don't know anything about computers, you would click those pop ups and presto they have customer's.
It's just a Marketing trick!
