If I use a cooler pad (fan) since the 7200 rpm hard drive conducts more heat, will this solve the issue of power consumption. Will the cooler pad also reduce the abuse ( by cooling the laptop) therefore making it more durable?


Plus will using this drive lower performance throughout use since it uses more heat. (If yes, will the cooling pad correct this problem?)

I have a Nintendo DS and a Nintendo Wii. I have so badly wanted to get them online. I don't have wireless internet in my house. I have tried the WiFi USB thing and my firewall just blocks it. I have Win. XP Home Edition, I have reinstalled it, not upgraded or repaired it, 3 times now. Each time I thought I had cleaned out my computer and installed a fresh version of it. However today I noticed my computer was running slowly, and I was going to reinstall the program again.

What happened was I didnt have enough partitioned space to do it, and then I started looking into the photos, movies, music, files, etc. in my computer through the Search. There is a lot of stuff on here that has been here since the first time I installed the program. Also it seems that each profile I have ever set up when installing Win. XP is still in my computer.

How do I get rid of all this. Right now I am just going through every file, pic, movie, etc. and deleting them, theres a hell of a lot of them. I have used the Disc Cleanup, Disc Defragmenter, and everything is still here. I am trying to do this, without having to buy anything, please help.

1: should i get a DirectX 10 card? ---- a few weeks ago i was gona get a Geforce 7600 GT cause its cheap and plays a few games i wanna play
2: are DirectX10 cards compatible with DirectX9? ---- i have no idea why but people are saying this and i wanna get my facts straight.
3: other than DirectX10, is it a good idea to upgrade to Vista? ---- i looked around and saw that HOLYCRAP a bunch of games arnt playable on vista! wth? i wanna stay with XP cause it has more games, or at least until a few more games are for vista that are for XP also.
