I have a few pictures that i need to zoom in pretty far to get a good view of the object, but it is always blurry. Does anyone know of a program i could download for free to enhance the quality so i can see the image more clear?

I'm stuck between getting a laptop for college which is coming up soon. I'm going to major in electronic media (video editing) so I'm stuck between these two. The Macbook with 1 GB of RAM and 120 GB of hard drive, although I'm adding an extra gig of RAM and the Final Cut Express program. Or the Toshiba Satillite, with 2 GB of RAM and 200 GB of hard drive. The Macbook is an extra 500, so it's 1,500. While the Satillite is 1,000. I'm worried that if I change my major I'll have a Macbook with all this video editing software for nothing. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I am a student of geography so I may be running some GIS programs. I will be doing all my personal photography throught the computer, as well a playing a few games. I will be doing word processing, excell apps, and other student/business style activities. I am leaning towards a dell because of the student discount through the university, but a bit nervous about first gen Vista.

I'm looking for 3D vector based software for the mac that I can do packaging with. I need something that can wrap vector based art from adobe illustrator over both flat and curved surfaces. I don't need anything elaborate that calculates weight and forces just something basic and user friendly that can handle vectors.

Whenever my computer is disconnected from the internet (like when i disconnect it from the router) and I open a folder (any folder, say My Documents), internet explorer opens at least 50 i.e. windows at the same time. my computer lags and this is what it looks like:

the 50 i.e. windows all have the same url on the address bar (although i don't recommend for anyone to click it. i don't want this to happen to you guys too):

How do I stop i.e. from doing this? I've tried Norton, Adaware, Spybot Search & Destroy, Ewido, & AVG Anti-Spyware, and even have Zone Alarm installed on my computer. They all failed me (grr!)

I found this and I have a question,I have 320 RAM on my computer. 128+128+64.
But I was told that "all the memory sticks in your machine will run at the speed of the slowest stick installed."
