DvD RIPPING question.......?

1) how come dvd ripping is legal, once a dvd is ripped, can't it be copied over and over again, and then won't the companies lose money?

Ripping DVD is legal.

Sending what you ripped to someone else or sharing what you ripped on a P2P network is illegal.

It's kinda like sex. If you do it in private, it's legal. If you "share" it with the public, it becomes illegal. ;)
