How can I fix the problem of SQL Server not pulling data from an AS400?

I know people have had this problem but no one has given a good solution

I have the AS/400 push the data out in a text file, then I use SQL Server's DTS or SSIS (depending on which version of SQL you have) to import the text file into SQL.
