My old P2-450 has had its day, nothing in the comp can be upgraded anymore mobo will not accept any higher speed processor, I'am thinking of replacing the innards with a P-4, which would involve changing Motherboard, Memory, Processor, harddrive etc in short everything in the case except the case itself, will I have to buy a new copy of winXP (ive had old copy since it came out in 2001, purchased retail), will winxp transfer to the upgraded comp? Old comp will be thrown in the garbage

Hi,
I am currently in my 12 months contract with sky broadband. I have moved into my parents house who have NTL broadband. Is there anyway to connect my sky wireless router into their NTL broadband box so that i may connect to their NTL broadband from my PC upstairs via my internal wireless adapter?

im off to the usa in 2 weeks and im now thinking about buying my laptop in the usa to use back here in sunny morecambe...
have got £700.00 thats a whopping big $1400 dollers :))) any advise, will i be able to use the built in wifi ? the plug will be different i know but i can change that. as long as the power pack will take 240v and not just 110v.

if you have bought one or have any advise that would be great thanks.

In other words, I've got a Hawking hi gain antenna with which I'm grabbing some of my neighbor's signal(ats-a OK....she knows about it)....I'd like to network the rest of the computers in house with a netgear 16 port ethernet hub(en116). Currently running win2000 pro on two windows machines, xp pro on a laptop, and os x on a couple of imacs. I can upgrade, if that's accurate, to xp on the windows machines, if need be.

they don't let you use it because I downloaded it twice and the same thing keeps happening when I open it up an error message comes up saying an error has accured then at the bottom it has send report or don't and I tried opening them both about 10 times any links or info on bearshare lite?

I've been using Cakewalk Music Creator 3. I'll record something like jazz or blues at a usual slow tempo, but when I play it back it sounds like a solo from Metallica or Slayer. Does anyone know how to slow the playback down?

i just made a fresh install on one of my second hard drive. and i decided to format my other drive, which contains my older installation of XP. however, i cant format my hard disk because of some adobe and macromdedia dll files that cannot be deleted. i tried formatting it using the command prompt, to no avail. i need help on this one, on how can i format my disk. thanks. any cleaning software you know of thats free on cnet?

When Windows Vista first came out, I recall it was January. Maybe in February, I needed a laptop, so my father and I went to Best Buy to look for some notebooks. We asked the Geek Squad what they think, buy or don't buy Windows Vista. The man said " I would wait until the summer because the opperating system is new", which I agree on. Now it's July, and I called the Geek Squad and asked them again, buy or don't buy Windows Vista. The guy said "I would wait until the end of summer to buy a laptop becuase it's the little bugs and viruses on Windows Vista that make you want to pull out your hair". I'm confussed. I don't know what to do, I want to wait so I have a good notebook for a while, but then again I get impatient waiting for Windows to finaly fix these minor problems. I read what people said to others, " Wait 6 months". Please reply.

It is called thewishingwell.org. It is where you click on a wishing well and you can donate money. All the money gets donated to various charities. Is anybody willing to buy the domain via http://www.godaddy.com , host the domain, and make the website aceptable for credit cards so they can donate the money? I would really love to do it myself, but I am am only an early teen and my dad works to much and my mom doesn't understand the interet. Please, can someone do it out of the kindness of their heart? I have a Toshiba satellite pro L20 with a 1.73GHz pentium M processor, 512Mb RAM (can be upgraded to 2Gb).

It doesn't do very well when I try to play games on it, I'm not sure if this is due to lack of RAM or the graphics card or whatever.

Do you think that adding more RAM would solve my problems or should I get a better computer with a better graphics card and more RAM?

(I have Direct X 9.0 with Intel 915GM/GMS, 910GML Express chipset: I have no idea what this means however, hope you do)

i always download music from a web called www.allofmp3.com.But recently,i couldn't go on that web anymore. My other websites work perfectly,except this one.

is nothing to do with the 'lenguage' i have not change any of that, the button works fines, but in the pc i click 'shift' and another button and it dosn't works, i can't put words in caps using shift, i can put any symbol, and all this sounds like i need a new keyboard because the shift button dosn't works, but it works fine, the problem is that in some part of my pc is disabled and i don't know were, how i fix this, PLEASE HELP ME111 see i can't put the exclamation symbol omg help ;[ please

It's quite strange, I think. For I use Airport Extreme to connect and there's nothing wrong with my Airpor, it always shows me that everything is all right. But my Safari just couldn't connect to the Internet properly.
I've met this problem for some times, but anyway it won't last for such a long time. It has been over 1 month this time.
Please help me.
