Can the quality of a 128-bit encoded mp3 file be improved by converting it to 320-bit, provided the source is the original 128-bit file? I need to know any softwares that can do this.Thanks.

Once the file has already been encoded at 128 bits, it can not be improved by encoding it at 320 bits. What you need to achieve true 320 bit quality is to encode all over again from an equal or higher quality source, like a CD or DVD.

The quality will never improve past the 128bit information you already have, and will probably degrade further when it is compressed and encoded. Accept the file as is or go back to the original source material for a better sampling.

Encoding from a low to high will not improve the quality.

The best solution is to re-encode from the original source to 320kb.

You are going to get added "noise" trying to go from 128kb to 320kb.

If it replaced into initially 64kbps, then it incredibly is continuously-honored that it could have. increasing the skill for high quality (upgrading to 128) won't improve the actual high quality. So confident, you may desire to get it initially at a commonly used-type (like ripping from a CD)
