Hi, well there's some ways how u can do it:
first one.. if you have an ipod, you can do this
Start with the iPod disconnected from the computer - DON'T CONNECT IPOD YET
- open iTunes
- open iTunes Preferences - this blocks iTunes from seeing an iPod connection; leave the preferences window up and running
- connect the iPod to the computer, wait about 15 seconds before continuing
- open 'My Computer'
- Tools menu, Folder Options, View tab, enable 'show hidden files /folders'
- open iPod icon in My Computer
- open iPod_Control folder
- you should see a folder named Music
- drag this folder to somewhere on your computer hard drive
- after the copy completes, right-click the new Music folder on your hard drive and select 'Properties'
- clear the checkmark next to 'Hidden'
- Close that explorer window
- eject iPod from System tray "Safely Remove Hardware" icon. This icon looks like a small gray rectangle with a green arrow floating above it. It's only there when a removable device (like the iPod in this case) is attached to the computer. Right-click & select 'Safely remove..', then click 'Stop' in the next window, OK in the next window, and then Close to complete the ejection.
- disconnect the iPod from the computer

- go back to iTunes, cancel the preferences window
- File menu \ Add folder to Library \ find that Music folder copied over from the iPod

Your iTunes library should be back in action!

ok there's one of them but the disadvantage is that all your playlist and if you have you music order in "my music" it's going to be all mest up

SECOND OPTION: if you have an ipod do this proccess..
- open 'My Computer'
open iPod icon in My Computer
-then make a new folder.. whatever called
then copy-paste your music to that folder.. now u have everything.. REMEMBER THAT THE ITUNES SHOULD BE COPY =PASTE TO.. BECAUSE IT WILL HELP YOU TO SAVE THE PLAYLIST AND THE PLAYCOUNTS AND EVERYTHING

then once u install the itunes on the next computer.. it will be an itunes folder so deleted.. and do the same process..
- open 'My Computer'
open iPod icon in My Computer
then you from the folder that u created it should be there.. and just pass everything to the folder my music

now open itunes and click theFile menu \ Add folder to Library \ find that Music folder and add everything of your music.. then close itunes
open it again.. and it should be everything on it!!

large process but cool because u have all of you music!!

well any questions... add me jack_bauer_2004_2005@hotmail.com

thanx
bye

The easiest way is to start up the powerbook G4 in target Disk mode. and transfer them over a fire wire cable to the new macBook.

to start up the Powerbook in target disk mode hold down the T key when you power on the powerbook until you see the firewire symbol on the Powerbooks screen.

Connect a fire wire cable between the two computers and the Powerbook is now (temporarily) a hard drive for the MacBook.
you can browse your powerbooks hard drive to your hearts content from the macBook, and drag and drop the iTunes Library from one hard drive to the other.

After you copy the library over you will need to Authorize the macbook in the iTunes music store so that any movies music or tv shows that you have purchased will be playable on the macbook.

erm, could transfer them in a .zip or something, it would take a long time though. best idea is to use a external harddrive in my opinion, you move them onto that from one comp then plug the external into the other comp, done. however does mean you have to spend out on a external drive and carry it around, although there are probably better answers than this LOL
