My school is doing a search on Myspace users and is punishing the students after a few students got into a fight due to it. Is this allowed or even reasonable? I don't think this is fair as the whole school has to pay for the actions of a few.

I think my computer is infected. I have AVG internet security, fully updated, and did a full scan, but it turned up with nothing. But, when my computer boots up, it deletes all my personal settings and replaces it with xp default. The xp tour icon turns up, my desktop is reset, my appearance, my start menu is reset, everything. I've scanned like 3 times but haven't found anything. I'm using Windows XP. What do I do now?

My computer has been running very low on virtual memory lately and I hope to have this computer last until I get another one. I have already increased the memory disk space size and that has helped a bit. I'm using a Dell Laptop, btw. For some reason, now everytime I play a video file in any player, the screen flicks black...and the video plays fullscreen and doesn't allow me to close out of it until it ends...then the screen flickers back to the desktop. Can someone tell me why this is happening and what I can do to make it stop? Thanks a bunch.

I'm running Windows XP and every time i go to turn off my computer there is this little security symbol next to the turn off button and it says "Click here to install important updates before turning off your computer".

This is probably normal, but do i really need these updates and is it normal for it to happen every time i try to turn off my computer??

I want to buy a laptop for business and I wanted to choose something between HP and Lenovo. After lot of searching luckily I got these two into consideration.

i have an ATI radeon 9600 and a radeon 9250 in my computer now when i play oblivion on my 9600 i can play for hours and hours on end with no problems but if i try to play any othe games it crashes within 10 minutes

Explorer keeps telling me that all the sites that I visit have a bad security certificate. I could see that be a reality if it were one site but not everyone of them. I had to use Opera to even log into use this service. I have visited Explorer help and it claims that all the sites must be bad. Any help? I use Windows Vista.

My Dell is only two years old, yet it acts as if it's possessed!! I have to defrag every other day. I'm so tired of crashes and freeze ups. I cannot system restore, because I don't have a restore point back far enough to when the computer was running well. Other than a new computer, what choices do I have? surely something can be done to get this thing working smoothly again. I have AVG anti-virus, and Regcure. There seems to be a spyware I simply cannot get rid of. Regcure keeps telling me it can't delete it. AAAUUGHHHHHH HELP PLEASE !!! No money for a new puter here.
