Well I assume these are the drivers you downloaded, but you downloaded some other ones, then use these instead:http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&releaseid=R153047&SystemID=PRN_ALL_A920&servicetag=&os=WLH&osl=en&deviceid=4328&devlib=0&typecnt=0&vercnt=1&catid=-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=40&fileid=203947
It is possible you downloaded the XP drivers by accident. If that doesn't work, then Dell support will most likely be your best bet, and good luck to you on that.
Incidentally, please don't hold it against the entire Yahoo Answers community that certain members feel the need to accuse people of piracy for no reason. I would hate for someone who was simply trying to get help with a problem to be turned off to Yahoo Answers by the rudeness of one user.

Before you download ANYTHING goto Microsoft.com and check for WHQL-Certified driver list for your printer make and model; and uninstall the old drivers, and install the new. Unless a driver is certified by Micrsoft, it won't work properly with Vista. . . and can cause Stop Errors (Blue screen of Death errors) and other weird problems with your Vista. I see laptop PC's all day every day where people tried to load XP software and drivers onto Vista, only to have major problems. Vista requires Microsoft certified drivers for any devices attached to it. Please, for your own sanity, go to thier website and look it up!

First off, Jim > i am pretty apprehensive about using these all-in-one's, print/scan/copy/fax ...
second, the A920 device as such is rated pretty poor
third, installation itself is pretty tricky > especially with vista upgrades
you may need to un-install xp drivers first, before installing the correct vista drivers
plus there are 2 files basically in vista i. printer drivers (35 mb) & ii. printer applications (37 mb)
suggest you download & run both

Either Vista supports it or it does not.
If ( & I doubt that is the case) the Vista upgrade you used is legit then just see Dell about it.
Surely there is a generic driver that will effectively substitute.
Please do not waste our time with issues concerning pirated software .....
