I have no idea which size of hard drive enclosure to use. my hard drive is about 4x6x1 and is an IDE. 3.5 and 2.5 seem too small, but they are really common. Maybe my HD is obsolete and they make them smaller now. IDK. Please help.

Hi guys. I bought used sony vaio VGC RA810 recently and need to wipe everything from musics to operating system (Microsoft Windows Media Center Edition 2005) because I dont know what happened to it in the past. The problem is I dont have any rocovery cds. I am willing to buy cds separately if needed.

Just tell me how to clean everything (from A to Z) and what cd to use after the clean up to install the operating system.

Hi,
well.. i was on my messenger and i got a a virus. I know where it is.. but it is write-protected.
It is deffenetly a virus, because it is only since it has 'appeared' that i have been getting the alerts. The virus is made to spread, it sends automatic msg's threw my messenger to all my contacts spreading the virus. It is automaticaly hidden (i found it and un-hide it), but if you delete the file within it it automaticaly replace's itself. I cannot delete the folder itself because of "write-protection". I am deffenetly not using it as far as i know, as i have closed all my programs.

Please if anyone could help me i would be very grateful as this virus is slowing down my computer and stopping me from going on messenger (yahoo&msn).

Who can I complain to about my issues with Comcast internet ! In Florida??

I have slow connection with Internet cable for 3 months with Comcast , after they took over from Adelphia . Comcast, each time I call, keeps referring me to different departments, and also 5 techs have come to my house , and never fixing the problem. The techs at mu home say I need call someone else, and I do , and then the new party says , that was given incorrect info… going insane ! help !

Ok, I sent my motherboard back to the manufac. so they could fix my audio. They did and it works but windows was like "Oh no! Why is everything different!?" And it wouldn't boot.

So I ghosted my hard drive onto my external for backup. Then I formatted the drive and installed windows on it.

Problem is, before I sent the mobo back my files were private so only my user could access them. All my data is on the external drive and I can't get at it! And I can't boot up windows on my external drive to make them shared either.

I know there's a way to get at the files. Help!

I have a 100ft crossover cable that i want to convert to a patch cable so i can use it with my router.

is there a simple $2 or $3 answer adapter that i can get to do this?

and if there is i would only have to put it on one end of the crossover cable right?

I'm using a 17 LCD TFTmonitor with a screen resolution 1280x1024 and 32bit of color,my graphic card is ATI x300 256MB ram,I have adjusted the windows font dpi by 160% plus to match the screen resolution so i can read texts and words comfortably in windows,the problem is when iam using the internet through the firefox browser,when i start the page every word or text is small,not too small but hardly to be seen...and when i zoom in the page by holding Ctrl key and press + button the texts and words interference and some words is hidden behind lines,this problem is only with firefox but when using internet explorer and zoom in the page there are no interferences or any thing wrong.
I have noticed this problem also on many of my firend's pc in firefox and also fine with IE.
What is the solution?i don't want really to avoid firefox as it's my favourite browser.
Iam using vista but i had the same problem with xp.

I'm looking for a web site that I visited a couple of years ago, and can't remember the name.

On this site, You could enter just about any web address into a search engine, and results would be displayed with a number of different dates, (some as early as the mid 90's).

When you clicked on a date, the web page would appear as it did on that date. This was an awesome site, and I can't for the life of me, remember what it was called!
