I recently installed Ubuntu onto my existing Vista machine making it a dual boot system. My only question is, should I run an anti-virus program on Ubuntu as I would on Vista?

Hi,
Normaly no, you don't have to do that, since Linux is not targeted by viruses. also, Ubuntu, in his default configuration don't let you login as root, so even if somehow you pick a virus it won't harm your system (still not sure if there is viruses targeting linux distributions)

good luck

I would not worry about Ubuntu getting any viruses.

There are at least 40 known viruses for the Linux kernel, but none have become widespread.

And the Plural of "Virus" is "Viruses", not 'Virii".
