The way cables are made, there is no one crossover connector you can buy, to switch it back to standard.
Here is the standard wiring for CAT5 pinout AND Cross over pinout:

DIY Cross over cable
http://www.makeitsimple.com/how-to/dyi_crossover.htm
http://www.tc.cc.tx.us/rj45_wiring_scheme.html
One end of your cable should be standard and the other end should match the color coding for cross over.
3 Options to convert your cable:
1. Take it to Radio shack or a computer store, buy an RJ45 male connector and cut off the crossover end and have them recrimp it for standard, AND Test it.
2. Take a standard cable cut off one end and wire it for cross over (EXACTLY like you crossover end), recrimp it, test it, etc... then buy an RJ45 inline coupler at radio shack, I have bought many, and they work. Then connect the crossover ends together with the coupler.

3. Buy a crossover converter, BUT there is not guarentee that the wiring will be the same (Color Code) for it to work.
If this is a permenant fix I would go with option #1.
If this is temporary I would choose option #2
I myself have a 100ft standard cable then I made a 2ft corssover cable, and just connect any of the end into a RJ45 inline coupler, this turns the whole thing into a crossover cable. So I can use it standard or crossover.

If your making alot of cables I would purchase the crimper, if this is a one time deal, take it to a mom and pop computer repair store, or a radio shack(they sometime will work with you). They will treat you better and do it for you, Staple, circuit city etc.. is there to sell you stuff not help you :)
So get'er Done!
Hope this helps.

What a good question.
Lucky you.
It is just a matter of installing another connector on the end.
The cables at the end are " crossed over once"
You will need a new end and the pliers to do the cable- special type - called a crimping tool.
You can get the ends at staples or wherever
Some are higher quality than others
You might just as well find a computer hobbyist or small store who will do as you have to buy the crimpers and a bag of ends
Here are some instructions.
I might add - i got a tool on sale
I got a bag of ends
It is 6 months now
I should learn how - thanks

If you have the correct tool, a few rj45 plugs and lots of patience you might do this. It would also pay to have a network cable tester for the times the crimp fails, or a cable slides itself into the wrong slot. For what they cost you are better off buying a new standard cable. In any case a cross-over cable is quite useful if you ever need to test connections or setups using pc to pc.

Sure just cut off one end and replace it.
On a cross over cable there is a swap done on two pairs if you unswap them you have a standard cable.
The normal order ---
Orng/white
Orng
Green/white
Blue
Blue/white
Green
Brown/white
Brown
Find the end that starts with
green/white
green
Orange/white
Blue
Blue/white
Orange
Brown/white
brown
Cut it off and replace the connector using standard order -- you have a standard cable.

so simple answer, you have to re-wire and re-crimp the ends.
