I was getting messages that my memory was full, so... I went a little crazy deleting files that I thought were all copies. Anyway, Now when I turn it on, nothing happens. I cant open the cd drive at all to re-install programs or anything. What should I do?

I go onto my computer and it doesn't say that there's a disc in the drive...what can I do? Sometimes it will read a disc right away but right now it's not...

Hi folks. Quick question.. I currently am running my custom built PC with an Asus m2n-sli deluxe motherboard and AthlonX2 5200. I would like to upgrade both to an EVGA 680i mobo and a Core 2 Duo E6600.. Can I simply move all my components like RAM, Video card, and will my PC boot Windows the same way as before- just faster?

I once found a VERY simple program (I think a .exe) that would add "Show Recycle Bin on desktop" to the Folder Options menu found under Control Panel. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm a complete clean freak and ANY icons on my desktop drive me crazy - ESPECIALLY ONE ICON BY ITSELF! I had to reinstall windows and I cant seem to figure out how I did it. I'd prefer NOT to mess around with the registry myself. I did a google search for it and didnt find what I was looking for; if you know of a program please post a link! Thanks

I have too much spy wear on my computer and my son wants to clean it totallly out and restart everything what do I do with all my games I have bought and installed (3 from Yahoo) I don't have the registeration numbers except the the last one I bought. I am looking at laptops for college and I need help deciding which to buy. I'm stuck on deciding between brands, and the different types of processors. I want to go with either an HP or Toshiba. I've heard mixed opinions on the Intel vs. AMD processors, and even mixed opinions between Intel's Pentium and Intel's Core Duo processors. Any help in clarifying all of this is appreciated!

First, I've spotted the TOSHIBA A135-S4527. It's nice because it's right in my price range ($599 after rebate) and has all I need: 1GB RAM, 120GB HDD, perfect screen size, average/okayyy battery life for the price.

I've also been keeping an eye on the HP DV6324US for the past few weeks. Nice price, but when I compare it next to the Toshiba mentioned above, the specs are relatively the same, but more $$$. The biggest difference is the AMD Turion 64 X2 processor.

Can anyone help me decide between these 2 models, or any similar ones in the same price range? Also clarify Pentium Dual Core vs. Core Duo

It currently has a RADEON Xpress 200 series (Microsoft Copr. - WDDM) video card. The operating system is VISTA installed over XP. Additional info that may help: mainstream 2.2GHz AMD Athlon 64 3500+ processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 250GB hard drive.
