Hi
See below this I picked up of Yahoo site
Also you must enable POP3 on your account at Yahoo
POP Access Settings
In order to read your Yahoo! Mail an external email client (such as Eudora, Outlook, Netscape, etc.), you will need to configure the Incoming (POP) and Outgoing (SMTP) server settings so that it can send and receive messages from your Yahoo! Mail account. Generally, you can find these settings under the Tools or Preferences menus for your particular email program.
Important: Do not delete your incoming mail settings
If you are already receiving mail from another mail server (such as incoming mail to your address at your ISP), you will need to add a new POP account. Sometimes this is called a new "profile," sometimes a new "personality," depending on your email client. If your email client only allows you to receive mail from one POP server at a time, make sure you write down your current settings before you replace them with Yahoo! Mail settings so that you can change them back if you need to. Below you will find the server settings for accessing your Yahoo! Mail.
Server Settings
Incoming Mail Server (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk
Use SSL, port: 995
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk
Use SSL, port: 465, use authentication
Regards
John

Unless you have purchased an account on yahoo mail, pop3 is not supported. They unfortunately don't offer pop3 support to their free accounts.
Gmail does however, in case you're looking for a free email service offering pop3 support.

You have to purchase a yahoo e-mail account to have access to their servers, however, I contacted aol customer service andthey provided me with info to configure Outlook. Aol uses imap instead of pop 3 for a server, but they supplied me with all of the info I needed. I hope this helps.

in case you're employing outlook to configure yahoo mail ability it would not paintings because of the fact unfastened yahoo wont help pop3. you are able to desire to pay for that then in ordinary terms it is going to paintings.this is acceptable for hotmail too.in case you pay then in ordinary terms then will provide pop3 get admission to. Then u can truthfully configure like incoming mail pops and smtp. So do no longer confuse your self its quite straightforward to configure outlook once you're paid contributors of yahoo and hotmail. IF u choose for unfastened pop3 mail get admission to many mails are there u can get it in google seek.

Read your mail. through web mail delete what you don't want and leave what you do want in your mail box,,,

you have to subscribe to yahoo mail plus to be able to access it via POP and therefore use Outlook. But if you pay for it, you can find instructions here:
