My computer hardive caught on fire a few months ago when I was playing one of my computer games. I want to know whenever I buy the new hardrive; will the XP OS software that I also plan on buying run on my new hardrive, since everything was erased on my old hardrive ?

I get emails everyday stating I won money, or people have some money that they want to give me, but first I need to give them my personal info. I have a Fujitsu 40 GB 2.5" laptop drive, model MHT2040AT. I want to connect this drive to my desktop computer. I have already bought an adapter to connect this drive to my computer, but for some reason, the BIOS System Setuprecognizes it as "Unknown Drive" and i can't do anything with it. How do i make the drive usable?? ---I have two other hard drives, SATA (main windows drive) and IDE (backup). I want to install this drive to put Windows Vista on it.

Hi,
I am starting with VB.Net and I am not sure if make more sense to study and get experience programming Web apps or Windows apps.
Something tells me that maybe Web apps has more future or more open to job opportunities than Windows apps but I do not know and would be great to see an advice from an experienced programmer.

has an arrow with round circle. says you need to change to an administrative account. You cannot delete it. You have to click "ok" and the pc will continue...until OK is clicked holds up everything. Do not know where it came from. Any suggestions?? Thanks

I have the free downloadable version of Adobe Acrobat 8, and I want to print an internet page in .pdf. However, the font on this page is quite small, and I'd like it to be legible when I print it. No matter what I do, I can't get this page to print in a larger font.

Half of the questions here can be answered using this
(like why is my pc running slow, why doesn't this work, ...)

1. Download and install the following free (in safe mode if neccesary)

Spyware Terminator
Spybot Search and Destroy
AVG Anti Virus
CCleaner
Zonealarm Firewall

(if you prefer you can use others offcourse like: adware, commodo)
(if you use norton, toss it, its a system hog and isn't any better than the free alternatives)

2. Use the scan function of those programs in safe mode (F8 when starting windows) and remove everything they find.

3. Download firefox

4. Do a system restore (google it)

5. Reinstall windows (google it)

6. Dont click ads, links in I.M. programs, mails, dubious sites to stay safe in future. Nor download programs like KaZaA, Bearshare. Don't visit porn/crack/dubious sites. Don't install software before you google it. Use torrentsites with comment systems like torrentspy and read them.

It would save most of the people alot of problems.

My computer has a 300 watt power supply from the factory, I have since added an ati radeon x1600 pro pcie gpu. When I am gaming with the video options set at a medium to high level my computer will crash. This has happened in WOW (extended playing) and Battlefield 2142 just after 5 minutes. I plan to get a new PSU but until I do are there any risks?
