you should have a cd that came with the computer, it has all the drivers for your mother board on it

if you have not got one then your going to have to find out what mother board you have got in the computer,

this should be printed on the board in white

Name:
model:
number.

once you have this info then you will go to the manufactures web site and download all the drivers

for my area, i would not installation XP over 2000 until you have a undeniable prefer for XP and 2000 only won't shrink it. XP is plenty greater of a source hog than 2000, and you relatively do no longer income all that plenty from the change. As they say, if it ain't broke, do no longer restoration it. besides, only boot the pc with the XP CD; formatting the no longer elementary disk is an area of the setup. you will could poke around your BIOS settings and set your CD-ROM force because of the fact the 1st boot device to be waiting as nicely from CD. only press regardless of key the pc tells you to press to flow into setup in the time of device boot. (Its many times something like delete)
