help i have lost the serial to my computer and i cant start it up and in order to get the disk they want the serial the sticker they tell you to look at is not there any more can someone help me please also i dont have the recipet cause i bought it 2 years ago and have moved since then so if someone can help me please do as soon as possible thanks

i just installed windows vista & my sound doesn't work...?

it says "no audio output device is installed."

so i tried going to windows update but it didn't help.

then i tried going to run... & opening the directx diagnostic tool to find out the name of my sound card. but it said "no sound card was found. if one is expected, you should install a sound driver provided by the hardware manufacturer."

what does that mean!?

everything was fine before i installed windows vista, but i do NOT want to uninstall it & go back to windows xp because that would be a big waste of time... :(

so how can i fix this problem? PLEASE HELP! it would be MUCHM U C HMUCH appreciated! thanks!

k , so im trying to back up my computer but it gave me an error .. saying that some files are too deep .... which means ... too long directory path .. so ... i asked someone and he told me to take the file back out by copy and paste but the thing is How would i know what file is hided very deep and How do i find it ? ... can someone plspls help me ?

I have an eMachines computer that is four years old and when I looked up what it comes with for memory, it comes with 256MB DDR (PC2100). I've seen some alarming things on answers and I was wondering if that number is the total capacity of my computer or if I could add a memory stick of 512MB or even a 1GB card to increase performance? I saw some people who said that you need to check if your computer can handle the RAM, but I don't know how to do that and I'm pretty sure when it says it has 256MB it just means it came with that much because it says 40GB hard drive but I update that to 80 a couple of years back.

I own a HP Pavillion dv8000. and i really want to play Command and Conquer 3. However, after contacting the C&C3 support page, i found that my ATI RDEON XPress 200 Graphics chip was not good enough for the game.

My question is, is there a way i can update this chip's driver, or maybe have another installed so i may play C&C3 and the upcoming Starcraft 2?

any help would be greatly appreciated.
If u'd like i can send u my DXDIAG so u may see all of wat my pc has
