What to do if your mom won't let you get a MySpace?

You could do the bad thing and get one behind her back, but then if you get caught your mom will not trust you anymore. I would just not get one because if your mom won't let you have one, there's probably a really good reason and usually parents know best.

Either don't get a myspace or try harder to talk her into it. Give her the ins and outs of having one. Parents think that myspace is all bad. Tell her about having a private account. Maybe let her take a look at it for herself. Who knows?

My kids have a myspace, but I have their passwords and can delete their account anytime I feel the need, they know this and are pretty good about what they do there.

Maybe you could set up a system with your mom like this, offer to give her your password so she can "check up on you".

Then you could do what my kids tried to do and get another one that I wasn't supposed to know about, but they forgot how to clear their history. Even if they would have done that, I would have known, because I have a keystroke logger on their computer, which records every keystroke they make. Even if they backspace and don't send what they type.... I KNOW!!!!!

BE CAREFUL....Mom's know more than you might think!

You have to show her that it is not a bad place. Tell her that you can put up a privet account where no one else can look at your profile unless you accept them as a friend. it is really a good site. I was the same about 3 months ago until i showed my mom. I showed her the site and she let me go on. She talked to moms whose kids have myspace and i went here and she let me. so you have to show her that it's a good site. When you get yours email me and we can be buds on there. Good Luck :)

why on earth would you want to join that anyway?? It is really just a bunch of ho-bags and idiots anyway.
People also forget about them and when they go to get a job, employers can access them and see what you are really like even when you mark them as private. I know because I have been the employer and when I do background checks on potential employees If a my space pops up I always check it out. Many people have not got a callback because of the garbage they post or the associations they keep.

My mom told me I couldn't have one either....but me being a rebel and all I got one anyways=] Make sure that you open up a new window and go to myspace then if your mom comes in the room you can minimize it, or if shes coming up close exit it all together=] Just make sure she doesn't find out... or she might get supppperrr mad=]] Good luck.

haha, not all of myspace is trampspace.
reassure her that she can check who you are talking to (your friends list) at all times and that you would never give out any information, or try to meet a stranger.

instead of fighting, sit down and find her reason for resist!

i had the same problem..i told my mom i wouldnt add anybody except the pple i kno...that worked 4 a while..then i jsut started adding pple..lol...so tell her u wont add anybody u dont know..and say that myspace is becoming a more protected site..(which it is)...but yea..just do that...maybe it'll work..it worked 4 me!..

just don't tell her or better REALLY better yet don't get on
or talk her in to it
but i wouldn't get on if i were you because there might be a reason why you shouldn't also if you keep hiding it and eventually get you might get in serious trouble like me
