alright, so yesterday I was looking for a file from My Recieved Files, and when I clicked the folder, it was totally empty. all the stuff people sent me weren't there.

I am 10000% that I haven't re-named any folders or moved anything around. and I am the only one that goes on my computer. I checked the recycle bin, but couldn't find anything. I did system restore - it didn't get restored. I did a search on certain files, and again nothing!

I don't know what else I can do! I'm afraid someone could've hacked into my computer and taken my folder. is that possible? I do daily virus/spyware scans, and nothing's been detected.

I also haven't been doing out of the blue as well. no disc clean ups, no new downloads - nothing.

so basically, somehow all my files in a folder is missing and I don't know how to get it back and what has happened...

anyone know what's going on?

I don't even use it any more, but I always get pop-ups on it! What is a good reliable program to get rid of the crap in my computer? I know not to delete it, but it is so frustrating to be interrupted every 2 seconds by some stupid pop-up!
I have ad-aware, but that can't delete the things that are messing up my computer. It's very frustrating! Please help, and I appreciate your answers.

I am using my computer within a net of useres connected to a main server. All visited websites for all computers are saved for two days in the main server. My question is:

1. How to delet every trace of visited sites from my computer
2. How to delet same thing from the main server given that I have no physical access to it.

i know that dial up speed can only go so far ....56kbps
my connection is always at 50.6kbps
any FREE programs to speed it up to 56kbps
and is there a free program that can speed up almost every picture format and text files?
sort of what AOL does with its 5x speed

I've just downloaded Limewire, but I'm afraid to download any songs because every time I click on a song title, it says there is no copyright and to check my local copyright laws.

I'm sure millions of people use Limewire everyday and have never been caught, but I'm thinking I shouldn't take a chance... should I go with my gut instinct?

I want to buy a new monitor to replace my CRT. My CRT supports 1600x1200 resolution. I do not want to buy an LCD that support 1680x1050. Overall there are fewer pixels with 1680x1050 than 1600x1200 and it does not support 1080p resolution.

What are my options for an LCD monitor that supports 1920x1080?

Hi,
I bought SAP ECC6.0 pre-installed on a 320GB HDD on Windows2003 Server. But when I tried to instal the hard disk on my PC, the computer gets restarted while loading windows all the time. It starts loading Windows2003 and gives a blue screen for less than 1 second and restarts. I am not able to load windows on the PC at all. My friend said that it could be because the HDD was installed on a different motherboard while loading Windows2003 Server and it is not compatible with my motherboard. He suggested me to insert a Windows2003 Server CD and boot the computer and press "R" to repair it. However, he said that even after this there is no assurance that the applications installed will be working properly.

Please let me know a possible solution. I have a HP Pavillion m8095a PC with 2GB RAM and 2.4GHz processor.

Hi guys, I was board so i edited Linux (Ubuntu) and changed the script. so when you turn on your computer it load like windows 98, you know the clouds as it load up. Well i made it a video of apple, the 1984 video (ON January 24th, Apple Computer will introduce Macintosh.
