I've been using AVG 7.5 free edition for nearly a year now. Suddenly, my internal virus database is out of date and I can't update it. I've tried switching off my firewall but it is of no help either. What should I do?

Here is an excellent from antivirus program from AOL, Active Virus Shield powred by Kaspersky Lab of Russia. Rated # 1 in the world for virus detection. You will get auto updates every hour on the hour, plus an excellent background scanner that really works great. AOL, will only ask you for your email so they can send you a free key good for one year. After one year just request a new key.

Light years ahead of AVG antivirus program.

Remove AVG, as you can only run one anitivurs program or you will have serious conflict with your system. You can run three or four antispyware programs without conflict.

AVG 7.5 hasn't been out for a year yet. Anyway, reinstalling may solve the problem. If you still have setup file, then run the installer to 'Modify' your AVG installation. Or you can just download the setup from the internet again and run it to solve your problem. And NEVER switch off your firewall.
