try ccleaner it is free at www.ccleaner.com. It will clear out the history. The problem is that the history is also saved in an index.dat file. ccleaner gets rid of that file also.

For Internet Explorer:Click on Tools. Then Internet Options. Click on Content and then Auto Complete. Then click on Clear Forms. This will erase your search history. If you don't want things showing up again in your search history then deselect the Auto Complete options at the top. Be sure to select apply or ok at the bottom.

Go to control panel and select network / internet options, then select internet options.
Under the tab general (Days to keep pages in history) make 0 days and click clear history.
Go to and open content tab, under personal information click auto complete.
Uncheck Web Addresses and click OK.

If your parents are at all computer literate, they can still find out the sites that you have viewed. All it takes is a small free program to decode your index.dat files.
Even if you delete cookies and history.
You children only THINK you are smart, us adults are smarter.

go to my computer click it then right click on drive C then choose properties from there there is a box that says disk cleanup clean out the temporary internet files.

then its your browser's issue
deleting private data should delete all ur history
if ur desperate, try going 2 c:\WINDOWS\temp\history
delete the files in there
