I'm not a hardware buff so it might just be a misunderstanding.

Old computer runs great, usually good without any probs. for a month or two. Then all of a sudden it freezes then reboots itself, before it freezes there's a clicking noise coming from the comp. which I'm pretty sure the clicking is coming from or some way connected to the hard drive. When I hear that noise I know the computer is about to crash - freeze, then reboot itself. After it reboots it detects no hard drive, tried rebooting but still no hard drive detected. This doesn't happen to often, when it does I usually have to format hard drive and install everything.
I noticed by unplugging the ribbon from the hard drive and then pluggng it back, that it fixes this odd prob., runs great for a month. When it happens again I just reconnect the hard drive. My cpu temp is fine, all new cables and ribbons. New 80gig hard drive, had 256mb/added 512ram, its been a prob for 3yrs beside that it runs great. any idea?

Hello. I have two teenage kids that I think are up to no good on the computer. Is there any way that I can wirelessly spy on them through my computer since we're all connected to the same network. I don't mean any keyloggers and stuff like that, I mean spy on them in real time, where I can see what is on their screen, and I know at the school they go to there is a problem that not only spys on their screens when they are in the computer lab but you can see their keystrokes from the "master" computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I downloaded it on my computer, and when I clicked on the icon after it was downloaded, it said do you want to run this program. Isn't it supposed to ask if I want to run OR save it? also, after I click on Run, it doesn't do anything.

Hello. I have a Dell CD that came with my Dell computer that you can use to format the computer and wipe everything out. Well, there is a tiny, but deep, scratch on the tip of the disk that my dog dig while he chewed up the jewel case the cd was in. Is there any way that I can copy this cd to a blank cd? I've tried using the windows cd writing wizard by making a data cd but this didn't work. I do not have any type of Nero or anything like that on my computer. But any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Have you ever gone to listen to a tune you haven't played in a while, and discovered it was gone? Over the years I've had quite a few tracks simply dissappear from my collection. Because I have quite a few songs, some can go unlistened to for months or even years, but I know I didn't delete them, they're simply gone. Just curius whether this happens to other people.
