Just open the image up in an application that supports those document types, and choose SAVEAS (usually in the FILE menu) to choose the image type. You can do it with Microsoft Photo Editor (free app on windows machines).

In Paint - (Programs - Accessories) open the file which u want to convert (File - Open) then File - Save As - (down in the dialog box) - Save type As - (click on the dropdown) - Select JPEG or GIF ... whatever u want. Click Save.

Open the file in any of the picture viewer, and then use save as JPEG format... bingo now you have the file in JPEG format........

in your picture edit software click on 'save as' instead of 'save' under the block where in type in the name of the file click on the drop down box and change the format, type in the name and click save.
