Dead pixels cannot be fixed and they do not go away. Many companies have what they consider acceptable numbers of dead pixels - unless you have more than they consider acceptable, you're stuck with them. Otherwise, you can return the monitor to the place you purchased OR contact the maker for warranty support.
This is the problem with buying these kinds of monitors online - you need to buy them from a local store with a good return policy.

A lifeless pixle is in basic terms that, lifeless. The scren is produced from tens of millions of pixels and they are literally not something notwithstanding the intersection grid of liquid crystal exhibit's (liquid crystals) information wires. at the same time as the juncture is going lifeless you're left with an information hollow (no information) and subsequently, a grey coloring. it is an illustration of the deterioation of the exhibit regularly. The older liquid crystal exhibit reflects have a somewhat short life span compared to more recent reflects. extra constructive get prepared for a exhibit replace or a sparkling computer.

Little pixel angels will take the newly departed to the Great High Res. Screen in Digital Heaven very soon. Until then, put it in a matchbox and cover it with a napkin. :)
Seriously though, contact your monitors manufacturer and see what the deal is.

I think dead pixels mainly happen with LCD monitors...not so much CRT monitors.
LCD = liquid crystal display (newer, flat panel monitors)
CRT = cathode ray tube (older, bulky monitors)
Hardcore gamers stick with CRT's because CRT refresh rate is still better than LCD refresh rate. As for LCD's, the refresh rate is constantly improving...and so is the technology. Perhaps at one point in the future, they would have eliminated the dilemma of dead pixels.
It's a relatively new technology, so give it time.
