I want to remove MY ID from a friend's messenger friend list

Unless you haxor his password, you cant do it. What you can do is block him so that he wont be able to message you.

You cannot modify your friend's list, but you can prevent your friend from contacting you or seeing your online status by blocking your friend.

Depending on the IM client you use, clocking your friend can be accomplished in different ways. Try right-clicking on his say and selecting "block", or go to Privacy settings and add his ID to the "blocked" list.
