Hello,

Well, Outlook or Outlook Express are Microsoft e-mail programs that is compatible with most e-mail servers. Outlook Express comes standard with all Microsoft operating systems.

AOL is a third party program that uses its own e-mail protocols and settings.

Outlook allows local storage of your e-mail and contacts, whereas AOL will hold on tightly to the information and store it on their own servers. It makes it VERY difficult to transfer information from AOL to any other ISP or mail client you want to use in the future!

Microsoft outlook is prettymuch MSN's extension. It's pretty useless unless you have a Hotmail or MSN account. AOl isn't much better. I recomend Yahoo or Google.
