There are 3 computers on the network in my office. We are replacing one computer, and we must hook it up to the network like the old one was. My boss asked me to find out what the name of my PC's network name is (or what my PC's name within the network is). I'm lost! Help!

Hey i have a HP Media Center PC m7490n with a NVIDIA GeForce 8300 LE. I have a s video and composite video/audio hook ups in the front and back and a cable cord hoock up in the back. I am able to hook up my cable to my computer and watch live tv on the computer but I do not know how have my computer show up on my. I do not know really how to work. When i right click properties on the desk top and than click on display theres no option to change my which monitor to use. I tried to than go to advanced than to GeForce 8300 LE but I dont know how to work with that at all. Is it possible to show my computer on the TV with my PC? If so how?

I currently have Time Warner Cable internet. I am moving and I wish to go to DSL. I wasn't planning on paying to activate the home phone line as aI have a cell with plenty on minutes. With DSL, do you need an active phone line? And if so, do you need a special type of phone plan?

Okay we all know how insular and paranoid the states have become ( with good reason) and they'd probably feel more comfortable now with the "security" of their OWN internet that only americans can use ( maybe like internet 2?) ....It would save them having to confront , and cope with, ideas and philosphies that differ from their own. They'd feel more "comfortable".

And it works BOTH ways. I use google.co.uk and yahoo.co.uk but every time I do a search I end up looking at inappropriate, mis-spelled, illiterate american sites. I'm sure the rest of world would be happier if the internet - a British invention -had some sort of huge firewall installed?

I'm runing XP and I have the latest version of Firefox.

It seems a good 25% of the time I'm using firefox I always get those message boxes:

"firefox.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience....Send Error report, Do not Send Error Report"

I love Firefox but because of there errors I just end up using IE.


I've have FF for months now but there errors have only been going of for the last few weeks.

I need the answer of the following question.

"MY TWO SYSTEMS USE WIN XP SP2.
BOTH ARE WLAN ENABLED.
I HAVE LINKED BOTH WITH AD HOC NNETWORK.
SIGNALS ARE PERFECT.
I HAVE ALSO DONE WITH FILE SHARING IN BOTH SYSTEMS.

BUT MAIN PROBLEM IS BOTH THE SYSTEMS DONT SHOW UP IN MY NETWORK PLACES.
WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM
INSPITE OF GOOD CONNECTIVITY I AM UNABLE TO SHARE FILES,PRINTER.
