Adraham Lincoln once said "there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers". It is obvious Abraham Lincoln never logged on to Yahoo Answers. Does anyone agree?

Is it at all possible to retrieve messages from a messenger service such as yahoo or aol from the hardrive after the computer has been formatted? and if so where can i download the softwear to do this . I have lost a number of important addresses and and telephone numbers and there dont seem any way to get them back . Id be very greatful if anyone can help me this is the last resort .

I have a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router (Model Number: WRT54GC) attached to a cable modem. Recently, following a visit by the cable tech for an unrelated manner, my wireless stopped working. After further investigation, I found that the internet is functional from the cable modem directly to the computer. However, once the internet enters the router, it stops working. There are components attached via wires to the router and they are not getting any internet. Also, the wireless is not working. I can't load the router's setup. I pick up a signal, but there is nothing beyond that. Both a mac and pc were perviously attached to this wireless network and functioned properly.

I received an email dated sept 12, 2006 on sept 28, 2006. I have plenty of reason to beleive that the sender did this and not that is was a computer error. The email placed itself numerically as if it was really received on sept 12, but it wasnt. If i open the full header I can see both dates in there but I dont know enough about this to explain or prove when I actually received this message. If anyone can explain this to me I would be greatly appreciated. There is a lawsuit pending and I may have to prove that it was done. Thank you

If you have a film in avi or mpeg format of about 700mb, what is the best way of making that into a playable dvd? I use nero7 demo, but it takes an age to "Transcode" the video and sometimes the results are unstable on a dvd player.
In simple terms, how do i create "iso" files from avi and mpeg files?? Is it best to make a dvd using iso?? Please help! I'm not very computer orientated, so, please be simple and clear in explanations.. Many thanks...

Ive been getting annoying recurring messages in my YM from names who apparently didnt send them so I scanned my PC. Day after, I learned that my comp has been infected with a termex.fatcow VIRUS. My macAfee says it "cannot be cleaned" so I just quarantined it. I am wary of "removing" the mentioned file coz I am not sure which file it is, or my if it would make my computer work erroneously if that particular file is removed. Is there any way for me to REMOVE this virus (since my YM still gets those annoying YM messages that dont make sense)? How do I address the problem? Doesn't quarantining the file suffice? PLEASE HELP!!!!

have downloaded google toolbar but can only get it on the dropdown menu when I click on search. previously google search sitting on toolbar for easy access and found it great for item search. it seems to have disappeared into space, any advice as it might sound simple if you know how instead of not knowing how and sounding simple. help would be good. is it the wrong question to ask on yahoo do you think.
