Yes! I do this via http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php
>There's a tool there to use to just input the link of the video you want to save....(or if you you don't wanna copy and paste the video AND you use Firefox, you can download the VideoDownloader program to your computer.) I use IE, so I just:
1/ copy and paste the link from the video I want from youtube's website.
2/ convert it to flv format using the tool from their site.
3/ use cinemaforge (get the download link from their site as well) to convert it from flv to wmv so I can watch it using my Windows Media Player!
Keep in mind, if you don't want to convert it from flv...you can skip the third step in all! You can just play it on the flv player that you can also download from the javimoya site. Have fun!! It seems overwhelming, and hard at first...BUT....Once you do a few...it gets way easier!! Good luck!!

Yeah, actually the videos are downloaded to the computer already so the next time u play it, it will just play and not download slowly and then play. The You Tube video files is in your Temporary Internet Files if using Internet Explorer. First install a FLV Player:
http://www.download.com/FLV-Player/3000-2139_4-10467081.html
Then go to yur temporary Internet Files Folder. Control Panel->Internet Options (Under Classic View). In the General Tab click Settings and then View Files. You will see a set of files. On the top u will see it is arranged Name, Internet Address, Type, Size Etc. Click The "Type" Tab and the files will arrange in alphabetical order under "Type" Tab. If u see any Files starting with .FLV or .SWF. Those are the files. You can kno if isYou tube if u watch the internet address. Copy and paste or move the files to a different location and thats it.
