Yahoo web site does not have the option. Many mail programs have the option to request a receipt but it does not require that one be sent back. You would not want automatic receipts as that would tell a spammer that the address they tried really exists.

The new Yahoo Beta might have the option, but it does not always work. When you get a read receipt you can click "no" if you want. So, they really only work if the person receiving the mail clicks on "yes" I read it.
You cannot go back and see if someone has already read an e-mail. You have to attach a read receipt when the message is sent.

If, when you send the message, you ask for a receipt, you might get a receipt when the user reads it (but you might not, if the user decides not to send it).
There is no way to be certain that a person has read your message, except to have the person reply to the message or tell you that he/she read the message.
I suggest calling the person on the phone.

I am sure you can. There should be an option for a "Read Receipt". Outlook has it and most other programs do!

Sure just ask them, or set your email to be notified when it is picked up. Opened whether they actually read it is any body's guess.

You can mark mails to advise you if your mail has been read, but that only works if the other party has it enabled and has the f***g outlook.
