How do you make windows media player your default player?

I am using limewire and it has converte all my videos to another media player, but i want to turn them back to windows media player!

open media player------>select TOOLS----->OPTIONS

there click the FILE TYPES tab


Then click SELECT ALL

then OK

Thats it....


Also you can select any file you want play.....right click >>>>> open with>>>>>>select WMP

Try right clicking on one of your music files and then click Open With and then choose WIndows Media Player. You'll probably have the option to use that program (Windows Media Player) as your default program. It should convert all your files with that extension to Windows Media Player compatible format.

The other way is to go into the options of Windows Media Player and choose which files you want Windows Media Player to be the default player to

Click the arrow below the Now Playing tab, click More Options, and then click the File Types tab.

Select the check boxes of the file types for which you want the Player to be the default player.

Try to remove Media Player and run it;s setup again. During installation the programme will ask to transfer/convert all your Media files to Media Player files.

Right click on one file of the type you want to open in WMP, click Properties, and click Change next to Opens with:.
