Fiza,
You need to firstly enable sharing, double click My Computer and go to "C" Drive or the main drive you have designated. Right click on the drive and choose Sharing and Security. Choose enable sharing. Now you have one more thing to do.
Go to Start, Control Panel, then choose Network Connections, Look for the LAN connection you will be using (wireless) and right click the icon for that connection. Go to properties and then in the General tab, click the install button (middle of window) and add protocol, add the protocol IPX/SPX NetBios Compatible Transport protocol.
That should do it. You may have to restart to get everything functioning.

They should be in the same workgroup, but just Start>Run>\\computername will get you to the shares. You can connect to the printers or map drives that way and you don't need to worry about the workgroup.

protection: A under pressure connection gives you a extra look after connection when you consider that records isn't being transmitted in the time of the air. WiFi has encryption, yet that encryption could be somewhat cracked for the tech savy/ desperate intruder. despite if it somewhat is fairly no longer likely for this to take place, it somewhat is possible. Reliability: A under pressure connection gives you a extra good connection the place WiFi is susceptable to interferance and random sign loss. velocity: maximum WiFi connections have slower community speeds than under pressure. B is 11Mbps, G is 54Mbps on a similar time as ethernet is 100Mbps. on the spot N and upcoming WiFi gives you quickly connections, that can somewhat be trumped by way of a Gibabit under pressure connection at 1000Mpbs. under pressure is plenty extra beneficial for top-bandwidth desires (like streaming video and on line interest play).

Sounds like you don't have them both setup to be in the same workgroup. Go to MYCOMPUTER>Properties and you'll find a spot in there to change your workgroup settings. If they are not in the same workgroup, you won't see each other.

Make sure they both have static IP addresses and also are on the same workgroup.
