I bought a school set of discs for my daughter for the computer! The problem is I can't get 1 out of 5 to run! every time I try to install it it says "install flash player 6 active x control" so i hit install then its says installing macromedia flash player. then comes up next - error with installing macromedia flash player please try to reinstall again! I have done this at least a hundred times! I downloaded the macromedia flash player seperate from the game aslo and shock wave! It just will not run! Any other ideas on how to get it to run? I wsant able to find much on the flash player 6 or active x control but all other things on my computer run with the active x control! Also how would i find and install flash player 7? this needed for another site i was trying to use-it worked fine when i had windows ME then i just recently swithced to Windows XP? Any ideas please let me know-Thanks in advance!

OK, so, I have read all the other "brilliant" (I wish you could hear the saracasm dripping from my voice.) ideas about how to erase the addresses from the address bar. Clearing the cookies hasn't worked. Cleaing the history hasn't worked. Clearing the internet files hasn't worked. Disabling autocomplete hasn't worked. I want something that works!!!!! I have an ancient computer that runs on Windows98. I have no idea what version my IE is.

everytime i want to add something it says (add new hardware at the bottom and then there comes a setup, then for some reason it says you need to connect to the internet to install it

Hi... Okay i resized an image online only when i go to photobucket it resizes it to a small size because it doesnt accept anything over a certain size......... But i really need that image to be a larger size and i need the URL code (like the one photobucket generates) to use that picture............. Basically what i asking is......... Is there any other site that would leave my picture the size it is and also apply a URL code as well???..... Hmmmmmmmmmm now where do i post this question exactly?? I have a Toshiba 2410 Laptop with infrared senser. I just bought a Linksys 2.4 Ghz wireless-G router. The internet works with the laptop connected to the router by cable. There is no network icon on my laptop.

What am I doing wrong?

if i buy a tv tuner card will i get a quality picture on my laptop? will i get reception anywhere if i'm traveling? or better yet is there any way possible to get reception in the canyons and mountain areas or will i need more than a tv tuner card? whatever way possible i need to know the best and cheapest way possible.
